Juan Miguel Arias

Juan Miguel Arias is a Riley Postdoctoral Scholar-in-Residence with the Education Department at Colorado College, where he teaches courses in Educational Psychology, Environmental Education, and Environmental Justice. Before returning to his alma mater as a faculty member, he earned a PhD in Education, Developmental and Psychological Sciences (2020) from the Stanford Graduate School of Education, where he was a member of the Social Ecology Lab and conducted a dissertation on culturally sustaining pedagogy in residential environmental education with community nonprofit partners at Vida Verde Nature Education in San Gregorio, CA. He also earned a master's degree in Comparative & Developmental Psychology from the University of St Andrews (2014) and a bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from Colorado College (2012).
