Anaïs Voşki

Emmett Interdisciplinary Program on Environment and Resources

Anaïs is a Ph.D. student in Environment & Resources (E-IPER), minor in Psychology. She studies environmental decision science and the psychology of the environmental crisis.

Building on her prior work with the overview effect and astronauts’ pro-environmental behaviors, her dissertation research examines the intersection of astroenvironmentalism, behavioral interventions and eco-emotions. She’s also researching eco-anxiety and non-Western experiences of psychoterratic syndromes; sustainable lifestyles and diets, such as nudging, alternative proteins, meat consumption reduction and eco-labels; and virtual reality applications for pro-environmental interventions.

Prior to Stanford, Anaïs worked for the European Space Agency, Natural Resources Canada, and the Cambridge Climate Lecture Series. She holds master’s degrees in environmental sciences and international studies from the Central European University and University of Cambridge and a bachelor’s from Carleton University.
