Kelly Biedenweg is an Associate Professor of Human Dimensions at Oregon State University's Fisheries and Wildlife Department. Kelly was formerly a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford through the Natural Capital Project with an NSF Science, Education, and Engineering for Sustainability fellowship. Prior to that she was a fellow with Dr. Ardoin on the Moore Foundation-funded project on Innovative Metrics in Residential Field Science Programs. Her research interests are in environmental education and communication, social learning, natural resource management, and sociocultural values. Kelly has worked as a consultant for The Nature Conservancy, the U.S. Forest Service´s Pacific Northwest Research Station, the Institute for Culture and Ecology, TetraTech ARD, University of Washington, and King County. Kelly is a former NSF IGERT, American Association of University Women, and University of Florida Alumni fellow.
Kelly received her PhD in 2010 from the University of Florida School of Forest Resources and Conservation with a certificate in Environmental Education and Communication and Latin American Studies, and a concentration in Tropical Conservation and Development.
