Indira’s research in graduate school explored how diversity in culture and socioeconomic status impacts environmental decision-making behaviors. She currently applies her graduate work in how people make difficult societal decisions to her work as a user experience researcher at Facebook, where she works on diversity, equity and inclusion in online commerce spaces. She earned her doctorate from the Graduate School of Education, a MA through E-IPER, a MA in special education through Teach for America and a BA with honors in history from Harvard College. She has experience teaching in a special education, formally training and supporting first-year teachers, and working as a field science educator, diversity coordinator, and site manager in Yosemite National Park for NatureBridge, a non-profit environmental education company.
