Estelle Gaillard, PhD, is an evaluation officer with the Australian national science agency CSIRO in Melbourne, Australia. Previously, she was a research associate with the Social Ecology Lab where she collaborated on a number of projects on environmental learning, environmental literacy, connection to nature, climate change, design thinking for sustainability, and research reviews (eeWORKS project). Concurrently, she also worked as a consultant with university faculty in Australia and organizations working on sustainability issues. Prior to that, she was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at CSIRO where her work explored the social science dimensions of climate change mitigation and adaptation across projects in Australia, Sri Lanka, and India. Estelle’s research interests include environmental education, environmental learning, social learning, citizen science, and effective climate change education and communication. She holds a PhD in Climate Change Education and a M.A. in Environmental Education from Griffith University, Australia and a M.A. in Applied Languages Europe from Aix-en-Provence University, France.
